In the Key of Stillness: A Music Meditation Event at The Velaris Residences

On the evening of July 20, 2025, The Velaris Residences Show Gallery opened its doors to a different kind of gathering—one centered on calm, presence, and community. Despite the torrential rain earlier that day, attendees began arriving promptly, umbrellas folded, drawn into the gallery’s serene interiors.

In collaboration with Meditation Philippines, The Velaris Residences served as the official venue partner for a special Music Meditation session, offering a space where architecture and intentional living could meet in harmony. Known for its practice of Kirtan—the communal chanting of mantras set to music—Meditation Philippines has long championed the use of sound as a vehicle for inner peace and reflection. This was the group’s first event held in the eastern part of Metro Manila, where demand for accessible, spiritually nourishing experiences has steadily grown.

A Shared Commitment to Intentional Living

Meditation Philippines’ approach to wellbeing is built on intention—on deliberate, focused acts of stillness that bring people closer to themselves and to the present moment. This aligns seamlessly with The Velaris Residences’ intentional design philosophy, which prioritizes meaningful, well-considered experiences in every aspect of residential living.

Before the session began, guests were welcomed by Carlo Tullao, RHK Land Marketing Manager, who spoke about how The Velaris Residences was designed with intentional living in mind. From its spatial flow to its sensory environment, every detail is crafted to enhance the lives of those who dwell within.

A Thoughtfully Curated Experience

The evening began with a brief orientation for first-time participants, followed by a guided breathing exercise to prepare guests for the practice ahead. The space, typically used for show unit tours, was transformed—its soft acoustics and gentle lighting offering the ideal backdrop for the immersive experience.

The meditation unfolded in two parts. In the first, guests participated in communal chanting, accompanied by musical instruments. Following this was a reflective talk from guest speaker Joseph Bismark, who explored the theme “How to Truly Live.” Bismark shared his insight on fear and its role in disconnecting individuals from their inner peace. “Fear breeds anxiety and restlessness,” he noted. He believes that when we tune in to the frequency of calm—through music, through mantra, through stillness—we remember who we are beneath the noise. The session concluded with a second round of chanting and a soft return to stillness.

A Space That Nourishes—In Every Way

After the meditation, guests stayed for informal conversations, a group photo op, and a guided tour of The Velaris Residences’ show units. The evening was capped off with a vegetarian menu curated by Passion Cooks, reflecting the mindful nature of the event.

The food, like the program, was both nourishing and thoughtfully presented—underscoring the value of creating experiences that are intentional from start to finish.

Where Stillness Finds a Home

The success of the Music Meditation event highlighted something beyond the value of the practice itself—it illustrated how spaces can shape experiences. At The Velaris Residences, this is not incidental. It is by design. Every element of the development—from its grand arrival hall to its private lift lobbies—is crafted to create a life of calm, clarity, and meaning.

That Sunday, the rain had cleared, and in its place was a quiet sense of connection. The last note of the final chant had long since faded, but the feeling lingered. As one guest said before leaving, “It felt like the space was listening, too.”

At The Velaris Residences, the space elevates moments. And on this evening, stillness itself felt beautifully at home.
