The Velaris Residences Celebrates Filipino Intentional Living with “Sari-Sari: An Intentionally Filipino Fair”

In line with its vision to create spaces that are not only luxurious but also deeply rooted in meaning and cultural identity, The Velaris Residences recently hosted Sari-Sari: An Intentionally Filipino Fair—a two-day cultural celebration held at The Velaris Residences Show Gallery in Bridgetowne.

Designed to spotlight the richness of Filipino craftsmanship and the philosophy of intentional living, the event brought together a curated selection of local creatives and brands, including School of Satchel, Art Toys PH, Rinse and Repeat, Millie Monday, Cordillera Couture, Argos Philippines, Chineramics, Annie & Lori, Woven, Kangkong Chips by Josh Mojica, and Chitoe’s Pampanga. Guests explored an immersive marketplace within the elegant surroundings of The Velaris Residences Show Gallery while enjoying Filipino-inspired cuisine prepared by Passion Cooks.

“Through Sari-Sari, we wanted to give our clients more than just a showcase of design,” says Martha Herrera-Subido, Head of Marketing of RHK Land. “We wanted to offer an experience rooted in culture, creativity, and the kind of purposeful living that The Velaris Residences stands for.”

Each brand offered a window into the evolving story of Filipino design—where heritage techniques meet contemporary sensibilities, and where sustainability, storytelling, and slow design are embraced. Live performances by Banda Kawayan Paete and Dino Pascual enriched the atmosphere, adding rhythm and soul to the event.

Central to the fair were two keynote talks that explored the influence of intentional living on both space and self. On Day 1, celebrated interior designer Nina M. Santamaria of Grupo Santamaria spoke on how culturally grounded design choices can foster harmony and well-being at home. She emphasized that intentional living is not a passing trend, but a mindset that nurtures both form and Filipino values.

Day 2 featured perfumer Oscar Mejia III, known for telling stories through scent. His talk delved into the historical and cultural role of fragrance in Filipino life and offered practical tips for integrating scent into everyday spaces—turning homes into multisensory sanctuaries of memory and meaning.

With Sari-Sari, The Velaris Residences reaffirmed its role as a thought leader in the real estate landscape, advocating for a design philosophy that marries beauty with meaning and modern living with cultural integrity.
