The Velaris Residences hosts Imaginable Impact’s Sala Sessions: Lead Like a Mom

On May 21, 2025, The Velaris Residences Show Gallery played host to a special edition of Sala Sessions, the signature women’s power brunch series by Imaginable Impact. In partnership with RHK Land, the event gathered a dynamic group of women leaders for a morning of conversation, reflection, and community.

Sala Sessions is an invite-only gathering designed to foster connection among women navigating leadership in both personal and professional spheres. The event format evokes the spirit of kwentuhan in a Filipino living room—unhurried and intimate—inviting stories to flow naturally. It does not promise takeaways or deliverables. What it offers instead is something rarer: a room full of women who are allowed to exhale. It is, as Imaginable Impact co-founder Niña Terol describes, “a space for connection, conversation, and collaboration” where stories are currency and empathy is the common language. And on this particular morning, the conversation circled around an idea both tender and defiant: what it means to lead like a mom.

The lead storyteller was Katz Navarro, an educator, activist, and single mother whose work bridges education, equity, and everyday resistance. As PHINMA Education’s Lead for Social Involvement and Transformation, she designs programs that don’t just produce graduates, but nurture student leaders determined to challenge the systems that hold them back. Her voice, grounded in two decades of serving underserved communities, carried both clarity and care—equal parts battle cry and balm. Katz’s storytelling resonated deeply with attendees, especially as she shared how her journey as a mother helped shape her leadership philosophy.

After her talk, the room shifted. The women in attendance began to speak with the intimacy of those who have carried invisible loads. The act of sharing, moderated with grace and intention by Niña Terol and Candice Quimpo of Imaginable Impact, became itself a kind of leadership.

RHK Land’s partnership with Imaginable Impact highlighted its commitment to purposeful design and inclusive dialogue. “This edition of Sala Sessions reflects our dedication at The Velaris Residences to intentional living and creating spaces where modern women can thrive. The Show Gallery, with its refined aesthetic, was the perfect setting for a gathering grounded in beauty, purpose, and connection,” said Martha Herrera-Subido, Head of Marketing at RHK Land.

As the event drew to a close, what lingered was a sense of solidarity. For a few hours, women from different walks of life gathered in a living room-like space. They reminded each other that leadership, like motherhood, is less about perfection and more about presence.
